Daytona 18K yellow gold and oystersteel-should I get it?

My AD called me today to let me know that they have a Cosmograph Daytona in. I was soooo excited but it's not really the color that I wanted. Its the 18K yellow gold and oystersteel with white dial.

I really want the all oystersteel band and black dial which is probably impossible to get. Should I just jump the gun and get this one instead?? Is this gold and stainless one a rare one that takes years to get? Or should I just wait and wait for the one I really want?

Easy - "it's not really the color that I wanted"

You are about to spend 27K on something that you don't want. Pass and get the configuration that you want instead.

I recently saw the yellow gold Daytona at London Duty Free as well as at an AD in New Delhi, so I assume they come across more frequently and/or there are fewer buyers at that price range.

Get that one, stay on the list for the steel one and if/when it comes in make the decision then. Will help your standing with AD and shouldn’t cost that much if you do decide to sell this one in the future

This combination looks much better in person than the rendering!

How long ago did you ask your AD for the stainless black dial and what kind of purchase history do you have with them?

I would wait for the one you want, especially if it wasn't love at first sight

Wait for the one you want. No point spending money on something you’re not crazy about.

For the TT model, wait for the one you truly want. There is no rush.

I do personally like the white dial more though haha.

Unless you’re a flipper I’d say NO. But if you were a flipper I guess you wouldn’t ask a forum... :)

I’ve walked into an AD near me and saw one in the case. Leads me to believe they are not too hard to get at retail. If you don’t love it I for sure wouldn’t be buying.
