How about Oreo? Both are black and white and both are circular. :)

I thought these were nicknamed the "Nope."

As in, "Do you have a Daytona in stock?" "Nope. Sorry."

Call your watch whatever you like, man. That’s what everyone does. We use this forum to argue why our name is more relevant or applicable than another. Honestly I have found that, more often than not, when I mention someone’s Rolex and say ANYTHING besides, “hey, nice watch” they almost never know what I’m talking about.

I’ve said, “Hey nice Daytona/Rolex/Batman/Pepsi/Hulk/DD/chronograph/etc!” Literally EVERYONE has looked at me like conversation a new concept. Then I get the, “well it’s actually a ______”, and give me whatever title they’ve assigned to their watch. It’s actually a little frustrating; but then again I’m in Los Angeles where most people are lost in the clouds of their own wild world and have no idea other humans even exist.

For those who object to a discussion about a nickname for the SS white dial Daytona, do you realize you are on a forum with threads titled “Is the Pepsi harder to get than the Batgirl?”.
My proposed nickname might sound terrible to you, but spare us the lecture about the absurdity of nicknames (as if).

Fantastic! Daytonas are not my thing but I love this nickname. Steve Jobs named a macOS snow leopard. Cool parallelism.

Seeing the image next to each other they do look a little similar but for me 'Snow leopard' reminds of vintage Explorer II for some reason. For the Daytona nah, doesn't need a nickname.

Batgirl is a nickname I don't like for the reason that it was initially often used as a derogatory way of 'Batman' owners to claim that their oyster bracelet BLNR is more manly and desirable than the new one. But it is going to stick and I don't mind it now, Batgirl is sexy and we name other desirable things like boats etc female names too.

Thank you. Considering military pilots don’t cringe when flying Warthogs, I think you’re so right. Nicknames like Batman, Hulk, Pepsi, and Batgirl are instantly identifiable. Strings of digits, at least to me, not so much.

I've been a recent lurker, and this is my first post. Someone on another thread called the white ceramic daytona the 'Storm Trooper'. I thought is was the coolest name I had heard for this particular reference. 'Panda' is softer, but 'Storm Trooper' is such a cool nickname that seems to fit. Has a bit of a bad -ss edge to it.

I actually LOATHE nicknames. However, with the current influx of middle and upper class Chinese spending...."Panda" is downright genius marketing.
