Actually prefer the legibility of the PO larger indices, and bigger hands, easier to read if you are underwater. Take a look at the dial of the PO 45mm.

I was really interested in that watch for a while, but I couldn't really get past the thickness. Ended up going with a 2254 Seamaster. I love the 2201 Planet Ocean also, but it's too big for me.

Nice watch!
To me, the only omega that is “different” or unique, is the speedmaster! The history, size, and versatility make it exist nicely in any collection Planet ocean and aqua terra aren’t just for me! I’ll take the sub and the DJ over them But again, that’s only me

Dare I say it?
I’ve owned 16 or so Omegas over the last 12 years, I’m a big fan of their watches. However, I prefer the watches they made in the 2000s and early 2010s. Their watches have become too thick and flashy for my taste.
I would totally consider getting the new PO 39.5 to have a diver in the collection, but they need to get the thickness below or at 13mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have tried the omega, but it felt like a fat flying saucer on my wrist. I also do not like the phallic looking hands, or that giant wort at 11 o’clock.
I did like the case back though. |

That's one good looking piece. It's nice to mix it up as well. It's not like their in competition with each other. I added an Omega SM300MC to go with my Sub but that one didn't work for me so I'm sticking with my Tudor BB41 for my alternative Sub.

I honestly cannot wear any POs, the hands totally ruined it for me

I'm normally bashing submariner stans that blindly seek the watch without knowing ANYthing about any other watch available to them.
However, i've always expressed that believing the seamaster was definitely not the replacement for it. The thickness, the weird-oblong appearance with 2 crowns. This is one of the few watches where it goes beyond simply not being for me. I flat out think it's ugly à la most Ulysse Nardin watches. I thoroughly love the grey side of the moon speedmaster, and the blue dial aqua terra is about as perfect a daily driver as one could ask for but the aquamaster is a flat out abomination as far as i'm concerned. Good thing it's a word class divers watch, because that's where it belongs. Under water. |

Great looking PO. I personally have PO, but no sub. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything at all.

I have always liked the Seamasters, my 1st luxury watch was a 1997 Professional (still own it today)...I like the PO but prefer the Professional....but my Sub still makes me smile every time I look at it (even with the price difference)

It’s very subjective, of course. I do find the touch and feel of the Rolex of substantially better quality. When on the wrist, I agree with you

There is no accounting for people's taste. Look at the current love for jubilee bracelets for example. I wonder how long that will last.
If you ask me the Submariner is a timeless, close to perfect classic. Similar watches made by other manufacturers are relegated to second rate wannabe status. That Omega is a nice watch but it does not play in the same league as the Submariner. At the end of the day it is just a watch. If you prefer watch A over watch B, then that is your choice. No one is going to be offended one way or the other. |

Heck yea. I adore my Master Chronometer POC. It is my most accurate movement and that is saying a lot.
It’s as high function a alpha dive watch I own and goes right along with my DSSD JC. The Omega fit and finish is easily on par with Rolex and perhaps a bit better in some areas. Omega’s METAS certified movements are outstanding. |

That Chrono looks really nice! The fit and finish is for sure on par with rolex. I find the case with the twisted lugs and the brushed to polished to brushed looks looks amazing! Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk |

I love the older pre ceramic planet ocean. I've been tempted by the orange one too as a fun weekend kind of a watch. Ebay has these for crazy cheap too.

The Omega looks a bit more luxurious with its applied logo.
Nice watch

Love that Omega but I still have trouble with the HEV. The bezel looks great and I also love the twisted lugs. Omega makes some really great stuff. They make a GMT version of that watch also that is pretty sweet!

This is one of those controversial design elements of the DSSD using its ring lock system. The trade off is the POC can only go 600 meters where the DSSD can go 3900m yet I will be long gone at 300 meters so....... The Omega has a large sapphire exhibition case back which is amazing on a hard-core diving watch so the less WR is well worth the trade off. I love technical divers and both of these are alpha divers. In my opinion the POC is by far a more functional/practical design in and out of the water. Just the ability to be able to activate the chronograph under water on a dive without screw down pushers has become a huge technical advantage. I find I use the chronograph in tandem with the dive bezel for multiple timing events on dives. That opened up a lot of possibilities I never had as a diver with any other automatic dive watch. This gave me a great “X factor” attraction for the POC this summer. It’s also easier to just push the Chrono button any time for everyday activities rather than unscrewing pushers. I found when I had to unscrew the pushers for quick timing events on other chronograph watches, I elected to just not use the chronograph as much. The take away between the DSSD JC and POC. Both feel like $15k dive watches. I only had to pay $6k for the Omega. If Rolex made a diver chronograph as good as the POC, they would charge $25k for it. Thickness of these divers are way over exaggerated. They are not Date Just models nor were they intended to be. They are big technical dive watches and don’t feel too thick as they spread their weight out in proportion with their size. Both fit under the cuff of a coat. The Omega might spread its weight out a tad better as it has a larger flat sapphire exhibition case back. Looking at measurement specs and actual real world application can be misleading. |

Lots of Omega lovers here. I am all-in with Omega right now, as I love the Speedmaster (have two) and the Seamaster (have one). None are as accurate timekeepers as my Rolexes, but at half the price (or better) than the equivalent Rolex, I can put up with a few seconds per day. Clarification: not just half the price, but it's actually possible to obtain an Omega. New. At below retail (usually).

The 39.5 PO is a nice watch. Any of the larger ones, particularly the ones with GMT or chrono complications, are absurdly thick. I did a quick catch and release on a PO GMT a couple of months ago. Wore thicker than my PAM Luminor...felt much more top heavy.

Add me to the OMEGA converts to some extent. Incredibly comfortable to wear, plus somehow they magically made it really easy to read in low light too. Of course there's a time and place for Rolex, etc. Nothing gets the music industry event nod quite like the Everose DD40 with chocolate/ice dial. :)
Then there's the Rolex Polar when climbing glaciers in Alaska :) Here's my new fave daily beater.
