Hello! Up for sale is a beautiful original Buckley dial two-tone Datejust that hit 40 years old this year. Details below.

OVERALL: 1979 Rolex Buckley dial Datejust that would make a great 40-year birth year watch, :) This variation of the Buckley dial (lemon / champagne) is harder to find among the Buckley dials. Service history is unknown but is running very well. Date snaps right at midnight and is running well within COSC; 1-2 sec/day.

BRACELET: 62523H w/ 455 end links / K date code (1986) / 18 links. Crown remains crisp on the clasp and has not been polished down over the years. Jubilee bracelet has some stretch.
CASE: Great condition with no major scratches/nicks to call out. Brushing on the top of the lugs are crisp. No pitting between the lugs and serial/reference numbers are clear. Yellow gold crown.
BEZEL: Yellow gold fluted bezel that has not been over polished; flutes remain sharp. The gold has spots of oxidation which is common on vintage pieces.
DIAL: Gorgeous 'lemon' champagne Buckley dial that has zero blemishes. Patina matches perfectly across the hands and markers. Date wheel is champagne which matches the dial nicely giving it a uniform look. Date wheel also has open 6s/9s as expected.
