USA or UK? I've seen articles about UK, but not USA.

It seems daunting that Rolex would set an unique pricing structure for every single country (or currency) that has an AD there. Wouldn't it make more sense for them to set the MSRP in the Swiss Franc and each country would index against that number once a year based on conversion rates?

I read that this was just for the UK market, am I wrong?

My AD which has roughly 12 locations told me yesterday that there has been talk of increased pricing targeted for 1st quarter 2020

IMO only would make sense if you wanted to give up complete control of your currency translations as a company. By being a price setter rather than price taker Rolex can make sure MRSPs don't fluctuate wildly in some less than ideal currency markets.

BTW a global price increase along with decreased HK/Chinese demand, means 2020 will look a lot like 2016 again imo

I normally don’t like to speculate on these price increase threads, but this one appears to be credible. Price increase is coming 1/1/20 for the USA. My AD received an email today from Rolex USA stating a price increase. Rolex didn’t say the amount. Just said prices are going up. New price lists will come the day before. I suspect 3-5% on PM models and 7-10% on SS models. We will see.

There hasn’t been a US price increase in almost a decade(?). I think they certainly could increase prices 10% or so without decreasing sales at all. I don’t think they give a rat’s arse about grey prices either.

considering there were people on this forum actually wishing there was a price increase i'm not surprised. a price increase is a "good" way to squeeze out the greys. I wish there wouldn't be an increase since it's also a bigger squeeze on regular customers at the AD (and maybe i'll be looking at a new addition next year).

My AD also says there will be an increase but they don’t know how much yet amd price list won’t be announced until the day before most likely.

At least AD's won't have to waste time repricing their inventory.

Usually around 3%- 7% depending on the model. This is the norm for Rolex.

I am happy to have the watches in my collection irrespective of MSRP, perceived Internet hype value, etc. Life isn't always about money. I am retired and live off SS and some investments. My watches are not part of that equation.

I visited an AD today in So Cal looking for a Red Grape OP or a Rhodium DJ (no luck). The AD said he had no idea when he would get one in but that I should buy if I run across it somewhere else because there was a 7% increase coming in January 1.
