Great city, but unfortunately if you aren't on the exact right street, you will find a lot of bad things happening there. Wish they would clean things up because San Francisco is truly beautiful.

Compared to other large cities in the world, it has very little history.
It is not even 250 years old when the Spanish founded it. That's nothing.

employing that myopic logic, no city has history compared to Jerusalem. Lol. Instead, I prefer to find and enjoy the richness of the history and culture of any place I find myself, without measuring and judging it by number of years. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the “nothingness” of San Francisco, a place “without history.”

Jerusalem and many other cities. I don't know why Americans who are offended when you tell them obvious things. They should be offended if you say false things, but not when you tell the truth.

Went there for short vacation this past fall. Stayed downtown in what was supposed to be a nice area. The homeless and criminal element ruined the overall experience. Shocked that the local authorities and community would allow the city to deteriorate like this, not like it happened overnight.

I use to love SF. I wouldn’t want to live there today, as it’s the land of the Have’s and Have Not’s.....a great city years ago....now its known as Tent City....so sad....and many people leaving there and California because of all the negatives....I would want to get out while the getting is good...

Funny! No offense taken — I have no affiliation with San Fran other than visitor to someone else’s beautiful city. I was noting a great morning on the bay featuring a topic we all enjoy. I guess I just don’t see a reason for you or others to circulate negativity about a city others on this forum hold dear. Classy!
