Was there in Oct. Empty Rolex shelves, hordes of tourists looking to buy, hugely overpriced preowned pieces

So to recap if you spend $150k you can get allocated pieces because they are allocated to people like you. That isn't the typical experience.

My friends that get first dibs on everything locally wait forever because the dealers just don't get a lot of the watches they want. Even if they're first in line, the watches just don't come in. Meanwhile I'm getting my SS Sub, CHNR, Pepsi, Daytona, etc. back to back.
Let’s see the beautiful collection!

Hello,

I definitely saw a couple of them on display when they said they had professional models. I didn't believe it at first, then it only took me 2 minutes to make a decision to pick up a no date sub. The dated sub was snatched before I could finish signing the paperwork.

I got very lucky that day. I wish you the best of luck and find what you're looking for soon.

I think I'll remove crystals and add Caesars to my pop in list. Congrats!

They don't have to play games. Las Vegas gets about 42 million visitors per year, and a giant chunk of them walk through Caesars Forum Shops, many of them with money to spend.

With those kind of numbers just putting things on display is a solid strategy. Also, there are local dealers outside of the strip that cater to residents, just like your local AD does at home. Those folks don't need to window shop on the strip, but watch enthusiasts probably do for fun.

I did look at a vintage stainless Daytona at this Tourneau about 4-5 years ago and they were asking 22, and I could have gotten it for 20. I stupidly passed it up. It had a blue rubber strap and I hope someone on these forums got it. Still kicking myself.

I walked into Tourneau the first weekend in December. Walked out the owner of a zblue Milgauss that they had put in the case 20 minutes before I walked in!
