5320 Availability

Excited to finally be in the position to purchase my first Patek. Though maybe not on everyone's wishlist, I am really drawn to the perpetual calendar reference 5320. I like the prices for new on the secondary market, but I am considering using this purchase to begin establishing a relationship with an AD.

My local AD doesn't have one and didn't seem very anxious to track one down for me. Does anyone know of any ADs that have one in inventory? I'll be in NY and SF over the next month, but I'm also willing to travel or purchase remotely if necessary. Also, I'm accustomed to receiving moderate discounts on most brands except for hot/LE watches. Should I expect something similar for this particular watch should I purchase from an AD? Paying retail would be painful on this one. Lastly, any recommendations on grey dealers that are reputable Patek dealers?

Thanks so much.

Absolutely superb choice, and will definitely Make the right impression with your AD.

Ask for a bundle, not a discount!

I love this watch. Almost bought it but took the 5270P instead. Personally, I’d be buying this one grey as the prices have collapsed on it. If I were buying at an AD, as mentioned above, I’d be asking for a nautilus as a bundle.

I love this watch. I tried this on on four different occasions last year. It made a real impression. If it was around $40k, I’d get it. No question. Sadly, it isn’t. In a few years on the secondary market, may be.

Exactly- bundle it. Make sure you get something else that can offset the extra cost compared to grey. Then you both create a relationship and get a good deal.

Thanks for the leads everyone. I'll try the LV and SoCal dealers first. I have always loved the 5712 and was going to make that my first PP, but discovered they are crazy sought after. How could I ask to bundle it in if no dealers have them to sell?

I’d just pay in full and wait for the next one to come. Who knows if they’ll even agree to it. If not, go grey and save a bunch of cash.
