Critique my collection, what’s next?
Hi everyone,
So in a few months time I’m hoping my collection will look like this (sorry if picture is blurry) I’m wanting some advice on what to do next? I try to wear them all equally. The BB GMT is a little to thick and large for my wrists though so I think I will sell that next, plus I have 2 other GMT watches. I’m thinking of adding a dressier watch, a Lange 1 moon phase or Lange 1815 chrono.... Tempted by a Patek but the Lange sing to me a little more Royal Oak 15202 also has my attention but the cost is putting me off. I’d like to know what you all would advise me/ change about my current line up. Thanks everyone

Either of those Langes is a great choice, I'd go for the chrono for the beautiful movement, best there is.

I agree on selling the BB GMT as I have your exact BLNR it is a stunner its enough as the only GMT you need. Also sell the reverso and add a lange 1815 chrono or even better a Royal oak 15400ST I have it in white dial its is really a stunner as a dressed up or down easily. You can check my collection in my account posts section.

1815 chrono is a dream watch to me... although with the Daytona maybe the Lange 1 moon phase would be better for variety of complication. The display back on the 1815 though is something else, too hard to decide, hence why I’m wanting opinions haha

It’s mesmerising, Daytona and 1815 chrono a bit overkill though?

Can't go wrong with any Lange all their movements are so exquisite I've seen them in person you can't go wrong with any of them. On the other hand the 15202 is waaaaay super expensive for that price range there are ALOT of other options in that price range from Patek...etc

The Black Bay GMT Blue/Red is starting to grow on me, but the thickness may be a bit much for me. Do you have any side profile shots showing the thickness?

[QUOTE=vandyologist;10387867]Maybe try for something on rubber. Aquanaut?
I just came from a Patek AD and basically was told there is no chance at SS. My biggest hurdle is I’m Trying to get in when the industry is crazy. I can’t complain because I wasn’t born yet when the existing clients were buying watches for years. And I don’t have the purchase power to spend 100k on something I don’t want. I like that idea. Gives a totally different look. If not a rubber kind of guy then I like the Lange direction

I'd go with the Lange if your not a flipper as they don't retain the value as the Patek will. The Lange 1815 is an exquisite twin register chrono which will add another watch with a leather strap and give a slightly different look than the Daytona as far as a chrono goes.

a bit of variety away from steel (despite the lovely reverso)
I'd sell the BB GMT and if its not too much add an aquanaut travel time I added this plus another pink gold omega last year. Its certainly diversified what I have on leather. |

Flip the two Tudor's for a Rolex dive watch. You've already got one of the coolest dress watches you can buy in the Reverso!
