FS: 1960 Rolex Explorer I Ref: 1016 Gilt Chapter Ring 'OCC' Dial

Serial # 596,XXX

Case: Very nice case that has previously been polished and has light wear from use. There is some pitting around the edge of the inside of the caseback but the watch just had the crystal and all gaskets replaced, and does pass pressure test.
The inside of the caseback is stamped: 1016 IV.60

Bezel/Insert: Excellent condition smooth bezel insert that retains a sharp edge and has very light wear from use.

Dial: Very nice gilt chapter ring dial with Radium deep creamy hour markers that are intact. The dial has 'OCC' (Officially Certified Chronometer) text at the bottom, which preceded the 'SCOC' text found on all later 1016 dials. The glossy portion of the dial is aging to matte but still has a glossy sheen. The photos need to be viewed and used for the 'description' of the dial. The dial has aged to have a reddish sheen when viewed from certain angles.  

Hands: Excellent original gilt hands with Radium lume that has aged to the same patina as the markers.

Bracelet/Strap: Excellent light brown premium leather strap.

Accessories/Extras:  This watch comes with only the watch as shown in the photos.
