Rolex on Holiday/Vacation? Yes or No

We have been seeing all of the great pictures of Rolex watches on Holiday. Thanks, they are great everyone!! I am going to France next month but I do not plan on wearing any of my Rolex watches. I just don't want to worry about them getting lost or stolen. If I was going to a resort and staying close to the resort, maybe. I will be in Paris and I think a big city is no place to take chance. I know Paris is pretty safe for the most part and I will not be too far off the beaten path while I'm there.................just don't want to worry about watches on the streets, subways, buses....... What do you think????

I'd say wear it, enjoy it and just use common sense on where you go. Paris is generally pretty safe.

I bought mine to enjoy, I take my watches on all kinds of travel, they are insured and if I couldn't bring them with me I would question owning them in the first place JMHO

Take the usual precautions as you would in any big city. Wear it. If you have a mishap, it won't be because of the watch.

I would wear it. With long sleeves you can cover the watch should you feel the slightest unsafe. I wear a DJ all around the world without any hesitation.

The only thing I try to remember is not to give the time to anyone asking for it. And should anyone react on your watch just say you picked it up in HongKong last fall.

Have a nice trip and enjoy your Rolex.

I wear my Rolex watches whenever I go on vacation. They are insured and if you use a little common sense, I see no issues.

I will bring mine to Mexico in a few months. We will be at a resort but will have to go to the local market to pick up food items and stuff like that. I figured I may leave it in the safe assuming our condo will have one, first time at this resort. I do plan on insuring both mine before I leave. I also figure my wife’s ring is worth 2-1/2 times what my IIc is worth and I am sure she will be wearing that as always.

Happy traveling.

Thanks for your input everyone! I guess everyone is right too! Why have a Rolex if you gotta keep it in a safe........... All of mine are insured, so I'm OK there.

It's has always been the case for me, I get better service in a jewelry store if they see I already own a Rolex watch. I mostly just kick the tires but you never know.

By the way, great picture of Paris with the Rolex store in the background!! It's been 13 years since I was in Paris. I'm getting ecited about the trip!!

I wear mine always on vacation, but it never comes off my wrist. While on vacation, it stays on while I sleep, swim and shower.

Don't forget Rolex are some of the most popular watches on the planet so most people won't even notice it. Wear it and enjoy your vacation.
