Incoming 116710BLNR....might keep it, might sell it?
I hate buying watches sight unseen but have been thinking about getting rid of my 116710LN for the Batman. Of course, no one around here has one in stock so I took a chance and bought one....should be here next week.
Will decide whether I love it and then will sell the LN.....or if I hate it, will re-sell the BLNR and keep the LN. |

You are lucky enough to compare 116710LN and BLNR :D Is BLNR Jubilee or Oyster?

I have been wearing mine daily since December and this is a watch you have to put on to truly appreciate. I would be interested in what you thing once it's on your wrist. The Jubilee bracelet makes all the difference extreme comfort and not as shiny as the polished center link oyster bracelet. "Well I just changed my thought after reading your last post I would not want this watch on a Oyster bracelet."

The jubilee version doesn't look bad.....but I love PCL's and I got this cheaper than I could find a 126710 for. Plus, I only wear these for a day here and there every few weeks....so the extra power reserve doesn't really matter to me. |

I mean the only difference between the two watches is the blue color, but it makes a big difference. Didn't care for the LN at all but liked the BLNR a lot when I tried it on.

I wish you the best with it I was just fortunate enough to have one on the oyster bracelet and felt the same way that I favored it. I then got a call from AD in December and once I put the Jubilee bracelet version on my wrist it was so comfortable and less shinny, you actually have it in your possession or you really can't understand. I have never taken it off since acquisition and sold the one with the oyster bracelet, having the new movement also helped 70 hour power reserve and it has only gained 4 seconds since December 7th.

I was in the same position--sold an LN to get a BLNR and was happy with the decision.
full disclosure: a couple years later I sold the BLNR for a 126710BLRO and have been happy with that decision too :) |

Depends what you have in your collection. If you have another black Rolex then get the blnr. But I prefer the classic black

Exactly.....I'm already a Pledge member who has access to selling in the classifieds, too. I didn't post with the purpose of drumming interest up. It's simply a thread about the mystique of the BLNR and taking a chance on it based solely on that.

The LN is my only all-black bezeled Rolex. I have the CHNR, too. I just feel it's a bit boring at times (the LN) and there has always been that mystique with the BLNR. I want to find out the real story once and for all. Again, I only did this now because the BLNR deal was great and I literally won't lose a dollar if I end up not loving it. I'm the type who knows whether I love it or hate it as soon as I put it on.

That's one advantage of buying a Rolex. Reselling it won't be a problem.
