What is with all the incoming posts?!

Is there some sort of collective action by a select number of people commenting on all OLD incoming posts for some reason??

Good question. I see it as someone who wants to be friendly or someone who wants to boost their post count. The later is more likely in my opinion.

About two weeks or so back there was a definite increase in incomings... Especially on Hulk and Subs. It was the "release" phase prior to shut-downs. I've noticed a fairly consistent decline in incomings recently. Pretty obvious that supply is very restricted out of Rolex. And pretty obvious prices won't change all that much (yes a softening, but not a crash).

I've been scratching my head trying to figure out where all these new incomings were coming from with Rolex and Rolex NYC shutdown.

How was this possible, were ADs coming to the conclusion that they will be shutdown for far longer than they originally thought and are now selling their secret stashes? It never made sense to me why any AD would have this huge secret stash to begin with. Maybe a few of the best models but that's it, but nothing to account for the huge amounts of incomings so late after the supply shutdown.

I know I have not been getting any texts from my AD which I have a tremendous relationship with about any special offers so I was really wondering how these other ADs are getting all these watches.

Glad this kind of clears it up. I know a lot of incomings are legit as some ADs were holding a strategic reserve of sorts for their own set of unique business reasons and are now unloading to facilitate cash flow. But that supply I believe is very finite and should be ending if not ended already.

I am new to the Rolex Forum and peruse old posts which are fun to comment on even after all this time. Two come to mind. Commenting on best watch for military deployments and pictures of some of the posters.

A couple guys who joined in April 2020 have decided to bump all the Incoming threads. Clearly an alternate reason behind it; these few actors aren’t all of the sudden thrilled for so many incoming threads from months ago.

I'm more thrown off by all the incoming from AD's. I swear at one point yesterday 1/3 of the posts on the front page were fresh incomings. I don't really know what to think of it....obviously they had these in safes. I think it almost pisses me off more about AD's knowing they likely have had these watches and choose who to sell to.

I called a couple ADs a few weeks ago (after things got bad with corona) where I was not a previous customer but was told I was put on the list for a Hulk 6-9 months ago. When I called recently, they said that they were basically now selling wait list watchs to previous customers (I guess as a thank you during these times). I don't know how they expect me to be a "previous customer" if they won't even sell me one. They are obviously saying I'm not good enough to be offered one of their watches. I'll NEVER be one to buy a bunch of overpriced other jewelry from them just for them to allow me to buy a $10k watch.

I just think it's a shady game by AD's.....they are just as big part of the problem as the grays, if not bigger.

At first I said to myself look at all the BLRO incomings. Maybe AD's are opening their safes.
