Does this Tudor sub look authentic?
I'm looking at a no-date snowflake, and something seems a tad off to me.
Dial seems re-done (not unusual), possibly authentic, but engravings on the side are what get me for two reasons. First, to my knowledge, the s# on this watch pre-dates the earliest 9401/0 manufacture date. Second, the engravings on the sides seem a bit too shallow. Am I wrong to suspect a counterfeit? Just covering all my bases and figured I'd check with you knowledgeable folks too! Thanks!! |

The experts will be here soon, but I will just ask you to be very cautious because there are large amounts of counterfeit Tudor subs floating around. That case looks almost new between the lugs on one side which is strange, and there are other things that I am not comfortable with either. But I never studied them in detail so I will leave those points to others.

The engraving fonts for SN and the material call-out look wrong. The big red flag for me is the E in Stainless Steel. I won't say why but let's just say the markings engravings look cheap and wrong.
I have reference pics from a few Tudor Subs I've owned (94010 and 79090 and both have the same fonts....this should too. Avoid! |

Thats not a snowflake for a start, its purporting to be a 94010 submariner with lollipop hour hand, personally I don't like the look of it...I suggest you do a lot more research before attempting to go ahead with a purchase. Also I would only deal with a trusted seller and not try and cut corners by seeking a bargain, you'll find they can come back and bite you in the ass.

Thanks for the close up photos. I cant tell from the one of the dial and hands but how is the finish on the hands, rough or smooth? That's a tell too...
