Not to say, If the AD does ever call me for a Pepsi than I’m all in. But I hardly spend my days of this short life pressed for one. Did you see the new Panerai 1313? Gorgeous. Might enjoy that one
Good one!

I hear you I’ve made the exact argument you’re making many many times lol

Until AP makes accessible ceramic offerings below 42mm or pateks become obtainable again I’m comfortable buying Rolex at market. Just where my head is at.

I think the "out of the blue" is a clever misdirection, getting everyone focused on the literal blue while a red bezel no date sub would personify the metaphorical. The Black bay was a trial run. That's my guess.

They will disappoint on Sept 2, 3, 4 . . . .

And everyday forward until they correct their distribution strategy.

My ad speculates it will be a black dial and blue bezel combo which would disappoint me. They doubt it will be all blue otherwise it would disrupt the WG version.

I want to be enthusiastic about it. I’ve loved the brand’s history and the models in the current (and recent) lineup make me want to buy.

I wear a Sub day to day, but I could happily take a GMT and a Sea Dweller to go with it. The thing is... I have to play some silly game or be prepared to be scalped by a reseller if I want them.

I’m not prepared to pander to someone to spend thousands of pounds, I respect myself too much. I’m also not prepared to line a reseller’s pockets.

So, when Rolex releases something new that I fancy, I admire the pictures and I have a look and see what the situation is, then I all but write it off. Because buying them in today’s market is a dreadful customer experience. I can’t reward that kind of contempt for customers.

I wish there were a few other watches I fancy buying new, but as is I’ve spent money on old watches I’ve always fancied or on buying back watches I regret selling.

Perhaps when this detestable stupidity ends, a Rolex reveal might conjure a bit more genuine excitement. Until then, it’s like an art gallery opening. You can look, but not touch.

most interested in the new movement. what will be new? materials? design? will it be an evolutionary change or a new design from the ground up? there might be answers to these questions already but I'm not paying that close attention. But that's the most interesting thing to me. cosmetic changes like colors and suchlike are meh to me.

Agreed.

Rolex should offer a Perpetual Date watch. Very elite, very expensive, with a GMT feature too. Sort of the Sky-Dweller's Big Daddy and the ultimate timepiece.

Absolutely, just look at the FS section or all the "incomings." The name should have been changed years ago to the "Stainless Steel Rolex Forum"

Likelihood is that people will,be disappointed when they cannot get the new releases if availability remains as is!

Not getting overly excited since whatever it is, it won't be available at retail
