GMT means Greenwich Mean Time not the Rolex GMT Master II.

Almost Every bet is on a Sub change but no one knows including ADs whats in store. If there are any changes it could be movements only and possibly just for the Sub Date this year.
Gmt news is anybodys guess.

Let me correct this as I believe that Rolex made an announcement that the Web Release would be at midnight Swiss Time, which is UTC +2.

I don't think that anybody actually uses GMT any more, except Greenwich in the winter.. they would be on BST in the summer (Daylight Savings), or UTC +1.

I use GMT every day at work. We usually call it Zulu time. Never refer to it as UTC even though that is the proper terminology now.

Yes, you use UTC and refer to it as GMT/Z (like most of us do), which hasn't been used as the Universal Time for decades; it was changed in 1928. Time along the Greenwich Meridian (Prime Meridian) used to be static and always GMT there, but now with daylight savings time, time along the Prime is BST, or GMT+1.

The military uses Z (Zulu in the phonetic alphabet) time to denote Zero Meridian time to avoid the distinctions along with the Greenwich nuances/changes or British references worldwide.

History is interesting, but we usually know what somebody is talking about. It's only important in precise tech manuals or standard procedures that might be used or interpreted world wide.

1928?? Coming up on 100 years of using the wrong term. Good for us.

All I know for sure is tomorrow at 5pm. I’ll be drinking a beer and watching the Rolex site hopefully not crash!
