What do we think will happen to the GMT moving forward?
Curious if folks think the GMTs might adopt the new 41mm case, or stick with the current 40mm for a while to further differentiate itself from the Sub.
While I don’t want to see the GMT grow any larger, those new lugs on the 41mm case are so much better! |

The GMT just got updated. Seems pretty unlikely the line will see significant changes any time soon. We can probably expect a few new models based on the current direction at some point, though.

2021: LN GMT brought back with new 41 case dimensions, red 24-hour hand, red text and oyster. Jubilee models stay the same.

Prices are going to fall as the submariner prices increase on discontinued models. I can see 7-8K for 5 digits by end of year and 9-10k for early model 6 digits. BLNR/BLRO will probably hit 12.5k-13k before the prices begin to rebound on sub fatigue.

Nothing for at least 4-5 years.
Next year is its probably the Explorer lines + Millgauss. Sub/GMT will be the same for ages now. They have had their decade refresh now - no more changes until 2030. LOL |

Yes 2021 will be boring for the Insta crowd. I will add the Air King to those two.

The hype grows every year as Rolexes come more into the mainstream, esp on SM, so I think Rolex will want to have something viral each year, so either a new model, unlikely, or a Coke C, along with updates to the Exps etc.

Maybe they will finally put a blue bezel and there will be a REAL blueberry!

I think the size will stay the same but we will see a new GMT with the black bezel and insert on a Jubilee bracelet. A Coke will come along in a few years also.

I could see them doing a PM ‘blueberry’ with blue bezel on an oyster bracelet and maybe discontinue the PM Pepsi.

Wasn't the lugs of the current SUB wider than those of the GMT? Is the lugs of the new SUB so much thinner than the current GMT's?

The lugs on the 12 ref Subs are slimmer than 12 ref GMTs. Crown guards seem more or less the same.
