Did the 16610 Submariner ever come with a Rolex Anchor?

Yes, I think they stopped giving Anchor's out around or after F and D serials.

yes. but during its long production period, the actual anchor differed. From late 1980s to 2000 or so, they gave out a small-stem anchor with flat 3 (on the "300"), between 2000-2003 or so they gave out a small-stem anchor with round 3, and from 2004 (50th anniversary of the sub) to about 2006, they gave out a long-stem anchor with flat 3 and T-bar at the end of the chain. And no anchor for the last few years of production (2006-2010).

No more anchor.

Stopped including the polishing cloth.

Now Rolex no longer provides the servicing booklet.

Nice watch. Late 1980s/early 1990s? (my guess, based on your box). But the anchor is not genuine (neither is the chain).

In the real world the anchor was just a very cheaply produced bit of base metal and even genuine Rolex one no real value only to those willing to pay for them.I gave a few away to forum members a few years back, but it was around late 2004 into 2005 they completely disappeared from the Rolex Sub 14060, 16610, and SD watch range. Many years ago after quite a long days diving Red Sea and passing a few guys out for there open water certification.Later we all decided to meet up later for a drink in a local bar, now this one guy turned up with a Rolex anchor on a chain around his neck.Well at the time sorry I thought what a complete pratt, and must say he was a bit of pratt while underwater too. Perhaps he should have worn his anchor while taking his PADI open water then he would of had better buoyancy control.

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is a "pratt"?
Such word is not used in the States.

Sorry to bring this thread up again, I'd love to know what type of anchors were given around 1994 ("S" series)

Thank you!
