You have original bevels and a razor sharp bracelet side lug. Yours would be a sure bet. Congrats!

No because you can always find another one without dents.

Seems price is what matters most to you, buy a good one without doubts and worries

No way and I'd be thinking what else is damaged in the trauma.

Yeah. Looks great even with the dent. Plus, you’ll never worry about that first knock! That anxiety release valve is priceless.

If it got that dent from being dropped on the floor, no.

Is the “aftermarket bezel” an authentic Rolex bezel?

I've seen worse. Little laser magic, for the right price (and without aftermarketry) and you got yourself.. oh you didn't get it.

These days it can be filled by laser welding by someone who has the capability.
As long as it's reflected in the purchase price I see no issues what so ever.

If the price is right I’d definitely buy it and get it repaired

If the price is right, there’s always a buyer for Rolex because they’re always in demand. If anyone thinks that they’ll get thousands off because of a dent or a polished/over polished case it’s very unlikely because we/WIS are in a tiny minority. Most of the John Doe’s on the street wouldn’t baulk because they want a Rolex..... WIS will wait for a better watch

I see thin lugged Subs all the time but they always sell....

I bought this from a renowned Rolex dealer in the UK. It’s a 1990, and has been polished to look great but has lost some originality however it’s no safe queen, it gets worn regularly (at least a couple of days a week)

unique baby boy names starting with a

It was it the right place at the right time, with a 2 year warranty and recent service (non-Rolex) and 99% of people who see it have no idea the lugs are thinner, they just see ROLEX

Sure I would, for the right price!

Looks like a baboon has polished the GMT in the OP.

If the price is right, yes. And I mean discounted nicely when compared to a similar 16710.

Whilst I’d much prefer one without damage, when you are buying 20+ year old pieces sometimes you have to weigh up options. You can have a seemingly undamaged watch that can look pretty bad, deviating away from the original look and shape with fixes a long the way. Or you can have an unserviced unpolished untouched watch complete with dents and scrapes which if not too bad may be preferable.

That doesn’t look too bad and can be fixed to new. I’d push for 500-1k£ off for that.
Excellent short, but accurate assessment of buying previously owned watches.

Buy it asap, then repair the dent. It is almost costless
If I were the seller Id set the price without any discount for this kind of piece
Take it or leave it

Yes the case side is a bit Yacht Mastery. Clear sign of baboon polishing.
