Would you wait or go ahead?

It’s on the list but there is definitely one ahead of it. I know what I’m leaning towards. Just curious as to what your thoughts are. Thanks for the thoughts!

I love nearly all of the Rolex line but admittedly for “me” the YM42 has never grabbed my attention enough.

But it’s what you prefer, if it gets you excited then you should get it

If you bought this, and the one ahead of it came in tomorrow, would you still be able to buy it? If yes then get the YM2, if not then I'd be inclined to wait. TT YM2 shouldn't be challenging to get at some point in the future.

I would wait for whatever you have on the top of your list. Don't let the "available now" syndrome dictate your purchases.

Definitely inclined to wait, that’s where I’m leaning. No, if the one I want came in tomorrow, I would not be able to get it. Thank you all for the input!

I really like this piece, the blue and RG work well, I ended up going for a TT SD43 instead, but I still might take a look at this next year again as I am quite into TTs now.

I agree. Especially because these shouldn’t be terribly hard to find.

Easy pass. Unless you actually have Sunday brunch at the yacht club... this piece is out of place in 95+% of situations. Not desirable for obvious reasons.

If it were me, I’d wait and get the one that was top of the list. There is a reason it is at the top.

resist the urge to buy just because it happens to be available. only buy if you actually want it and feel like you will wear it.

In my humble opinion, that is one of the best looking watches that Rolex makes.

That and the two tone submariner blue dial.

If I could afford it financially, and if my wrist could handle it, I would buy it.

I can’t afford it, and my wrists are too small for that watch, so I have to sit and watch others enjoy that one .

Only you can know for sure. I’ve never bought a runner up watch and had it work out though YMMV

If it’s on your list and you asked for it, I say buy it. Who knows how long you’ll be waiting for the other. Life is short so enjoy what you can while you can.

It’s rose gold that’s news to me always thought they were yellow!

Nevermind, just saw that you bought your first Rolex in Sept and have bought and sold at least two watches since then. Unless you just like buying and selling things, I’d slow down and figure out what you really want vs buying what’s available. Best of luck with your decision.

El Paso..I admit I'm biased with no love for the YM2. Wait for no.1 just to be safe and ready.

Idk, I think that’s a stretch.

If you don’t have scuba gear and a race car; I guess a submariner and Daytona are outta place too ?
