Positive AD Experience
I've been lurking on these forums off/on for a few years now. I've previously owned Rolex/Tudor watches but these were all bought on the gray market. With the new Submariners' release, I knew I wanted one but after reading countless negative experiences at ADs, I did not think I had a great chance if attaining one. (I'm certainly not willing to pay market price at this time).
I went in to my local AD and figured I'd see if they would put my name on a list. I explained I was particularly interested in the 124060 and the saleswoman was very nice and made small talk about the brand and which models I was drawn to and why. After speaking briefly, she took my name and put it on a list of interested clients. Fast forward ~6 weeks and out of the blue I get a call to come by the store to pick up my new Submariner.  I was able to buy one this week as well...and without purchase history from this specific AD.

Very cool, I'm glad ADs are offering us younger guys our dream watches. It's difficult to have an extensive purchase history at a younger age.

Congrats-Great pick up and luck I might add.
I think the ratio of posts talking about terrible AD's/no calls/waiting lists verus posts like these are getting better. My AD gave me the call for my 126610 in about 2 months time from the original request. I can definitely live with that-Now if the 116500 call would ever come I'd be all set....
