Sure, much like DJ41 is the 41st anniversary and DD40 is the 40th anniversary. Let’s forget about a major identifier like the size, and focus on that one initial release year instead. :)

To each his own (and it seems like everyone has an opinion of their own on these names anyway)...

Didn’t mean to derail the thread. Whatever the name, OP is enjoying the watch’s md thst is all that matters.

It is a great looking watch, and you will enjoy looking at it each and every time and they is all that should matter. Wear it in good health.

I mean Rolex calls the the 50th anniversary, they don’t mention SD43 anywhere unless I missed reading it.
I agree with you, names and nicknames are fun but the most important thing is how well we enjoy our watches.

Cellphone cameras distort wrist shots a great deal.
Use the zoom lens on your cell if it has one or try to distance your phone from your wrist as much as possible then crop the image.
A quick example of my watch shot using normal iphone lens vs the zoom lens.
Notice how much bigger the watch looks on my wrist compared to the shot taken with the zoom lens!
That’s why, judging the size of a case based on pictures is so misleading. When I tried the SD for the first time I was surprised how small it actually is compared to pictures I had seen.
