Returned L serial sub to vendor
So at purchase the salesman owner looked at the chart and told me L serial is 1999. Well when I hit home and looked it up, I saw it was 1989, a decade older. Plus the dial showed a nice tropical purple but in certain light it made the dial and crystal look dirty.
The bracelt was newer, not period correct. I truly didn't want vintage but it was affordable. After some arguing, he agreed to refund my money. Today, for 3k more, I purchased a D serial from 2006. This jeweler was going to have their watch maker for a light polish but found that the bpm was down to around 25k per minute so a complete overhaul was Suggested. The jeweler had it done at no extra charge to me. Here she is, picture perfect, 17 years newer than my first purchase and only 3k more. I fo need to purchase one more link and that's going to set me back probably 400 bucks
