I’m selling an 18K yellow gold 1958 Rolex GMT Master 6542 with a champagne dial with white writing that is also signed for the Caracas retailer Serpico y Laino, here are the details:

Dial: Excellent condition champagne dial with white writing that is also signed in gilt gold for the Caracas retailer Serpico y Laino. It shows very light aging only and has faded a bit over time. The radium hour markers and hands have aged to a rich amber hue. They glow dimly and drop off quickly when exposed to UV light which is correct for a watch of this era. The crystal shows some crazing.

Case: 38mm 18K yellow gold case with serial 367,xxx is in excellent condition and appears to be unpolished. The wide factory chamfers are still sharp and the case has taken on a shiny finish from years of wear under a shirt sleeve. The mid case has two hallmarks. The case back has three hallmarks on the inside and three on the outside. The brown bakelite bezel insert is in excellent condition showing only light wear.

Movement: The automatic winding Rolex calibre 1065 movement will be serviced at the time of purchase prior to shipment.

Other: While all gold Rolex 6542 GMT models are scarce, one with a double signed champagne dial is at an entirely different level of scarcity. This dial variant was made for a short time and was quickly discontinued due to it being difficult to read.
