I agree with him. He is a legit grey dealer, has a youtube channel in which he openly does alot of deals. He most likely has a good idea of where the grey market prices are moving.

Who cares what some guy on Youtube thinks, owning and wearing watches is not always about ££££$$$$€€€, it's about owning and wearing and enjoying the watches you bought in good health.

Personally I don't give a damn about resale prices as I rarely sell these days, and I buy watches to wear and enjoy. However (and as I've said on other threads here) I totally agree with this guy's comments about the Oyster bracelet option on the GMT's hurting the original versions... and I'm not talking about the financial side. I especially believe the original 116710 BLNR should've stayed unique as it was the first bi-colour ceramic bezel Rolex ever produced, so it deserved to be allowed to stand alone. Rolex have diluted it.
As I've said before, its not as if 126710 BLNRs were sitting around unsold due to being on a Jubilee! Stupid, lazy decision by Rolex IMO. |

Is there any reason why you continue to link these clickbait sites?

I get this guy is a dealer, getting rich on rising prices,
But doesn’t he realise a large part of Rolex appeal is that they are classically styled that don’t change very much? Making annual changes that mean you can date a watch by looking at it would be a disaster |

I know Rolex hates limited editions... but I think collectors would have liked a green 24-hour hand on 1,000 pieces or for a short production run. Something like that. No? |

I enjoy his videos, but if you saw his last video, you'd see how out of touch he is with the reality of Rolex new releases. Then again, he's only been in the business for something like 3 years.

Unwatchable. Does he do a couple of quick reps before turning the camera on? A "poser," literally.

If anyone is "in it" for resale, please just go away.

i will say this anyone who buys a rolex cares somewhat about resale. it is one of the selling points of the watches. it may not be the main point but it is on the list. anyone who says otherwise can sell me theirs below market.

I'd honestly love to see a new "Rolex Investment" Topic so all these annoying threads can be moved there. Rolex General Discussion is becoming unbearable.

Indeed... classless to avoid the discussion topic and engage in personal attacks on dealers and other TRF members.
Let’s discuss Rolex... and if the topic doesn’t interest you, feel free to ignore and MOVE ON! |

discontinuing the batman just to reintroduce a new one later on with a better movement is understandable
adding the same exact pepsi that was only available in white gold to the stainless lineup makes no sense. i feel like PM versions should have something that distinguishes them from steel variants to make them a bit more exclusive. i guess sales for the white gold black dial weren't taking off so they introduced it in steel also, but i still don't really get it |

I disagree and I do believe the 116710BLNR is still the one that will be most sought after to collectors in the long term.
He suggests that there is nothing that distinguishes the 116710BLNR vs. 126710BLNR. To the untrained eye that may be true, but if the past is telling of the future, it's the watch history and nuances that matter.
