FS: 1972 Rolex 18k YG Gold Submariner 1680 with TROPICAL Dial
FS: 1972 Rolex 18k YG Gold Submariner 1680 with TROPICAL Dial
Serial #: 3030XXX Description: Case: The 18k yellow gold case has been polished in the past and shows sharp and prominent bevels. The blue bezel has faded to a satin blue hue and shows only light wear for its age. The watch was fitted with an aftermarket stainless steel bezel pearl somewhere in South America where the watch is from. We were going to replace it but it looks way too badass to change. Dial: The once blue dial is heavily patinated and has faded down to its base gold layer. The very last of the blue topcoat now shows as a bright magenta spot at the edge of the dial just outside of the date window. The lume has aged to a warm vibrant sandy hue and the hands have aged several shades lighter than the dial. Bracelet: New green Molequin strap. Accessories: None. Notes: We can't know the factors that went into making this watch what it is today. What we do know is that we're happy they happened. Offered at: $41,850 Feel free to text me at (415) 260-9129 or email me at sales@tropicalwatch.com with any questions that you may have. References upon request. Follow me on instagram: @watchand Full refund minus shipping costs if not happy after 3 day inspection period. Thanks, Jacek |
