Potential Scam???
Two ?'s here
1) What is with all these people who contact you about a watch BUT want you to write their name on a piece of paper and put it next to the watch with all the #'s, paperwork etc clearly showing as well??? Sounds like a serious potential scam to me! 2) OK So I get this PM from someone who just joined here the other day. No posts at all Sounds like a scam to me.... IF Mods as I will gladly forward them the PM or post the supposed members name but not till told its ok CLEARLY BS! I have not sold enough watches to be one of the most recommended sellers online! "Dear Sir, I live in Europe, Romania and I am interested in purchasing a Panerai watch. I have never purchased a watch from internet, not to mention also that this would be my first Panerai. From reading the forums about Panerai I found out that you are the one of the most recommended sellers to purchase a watch online. So I am interested in purchasing the Panerai you have for sale. Can you please tell me if you do ship to Romania? Is the watch insured during shipping? How much is the shipping? The price is negotiable? I would love to get this watch somewhere around 5.000$. I can make the payment with a credit card (Mastercard or American Express) or with PayPal. I can also pay with a bank transfer if desired even if it is more expensive for me. As I understod, the watch is completelly original, new, with International Panerai warranty and with all papers, box and extras just like a watch purchased from a dealer. Is this correct? Best regards, ****"

Hi Jeremy,
On your first question, I'd say its people asking to see if you actually own the watch, my usual tactic as per other members is to ask the seller to post another photo with the watch set to a designated time and date. On the second question, RUN, if it is a member here on TRF jump out the the TRF start page, scroll down and you'll see view forum leaders, contact them with the said details is the best approach, the Mods will make a decision from that. Hope I've covered it all ok there my friend. Cheers, Dave.
