Since I decided to do cremation when the time comes, I measured the volume of the pre-purchased urn that will be my resting place and realized that it will only hold about $3,235+/- and me. So I have set that amount aside for urn insertion and, hoping God does not charge a cover, for any extra charges on the trip(parking, snacks, etc.). That leaves me with plenty of cash right now and, therefore, in answer to the original question, I have paid over MSRP plenty of times to get the watch I wanted. The last thing I want to do is get on an AD list, croak, and then have the AD track down me and my urn in order to get me that coveted Rolex at MSRP. Life is short.
Pay over MSRP. It is the new standard and will be that way for a while. I have adjusted. |

I paid way over for my blro 15K over retail ? Why because I just don’t want to play Ad games time is money at this point I want what I want. Now having it I only wish I had done it sooner. I love the watch

Exact same situation for me. A bit over double the price. So about 16k over retail…. Waited several years. Saw the prices rising and no hope from several AD’s.

2 x retail for the Cermit. I knew I was never getting it though my AD in one of the biggest markets (SoCal) and only having a 2 Rolex watch purchase history. Plus my SA isn't really the friendly type and I'm an introvert. I thought it would bother me down the road but I have zero regrets. I love the watch and would do it again. I am by no means rich, I just had a good year.

A little over 2x retail for both my Cermit and BLRO. Wanted them both badly. No regrets at all. Feeling patient enough now to try to get on the list for a YG sub, but who knows how long my patience will hold or what I’ll hear I need to buy to get on the list… may have to go over MSRP again…

Well I am about to get flamed here, but I am in the process of purchasing a BNIB Peps on Jubilee for ~$25k, so that's about $15k above market! Life is too short, I can thankfully afford to do so and frankly I am excited!!

I wouldn't pay over retail. Luckily, the watches that I wanted were available from my AD.

Paid $17,500 for Tiffany OP 41 and that's because the watch to me was unique and love the dial.
