Watch finder make it official

Hi all, sales are official.

Imho this is the last trial before the market become really sporty in September.

We just need to wait.

This is great news, soon that SS Daytona will be at a price that I have to consider before I say no.

Yeah that $23,000 used Submariner is only $18,400, what a steal.

Should just be normal pricing in the sale then eh. I see a 116610 Submariiner with rounded off crown guards in the advert pic, nice work WF.

Awful company yet very successful due to people not having a clue what they’re buying

Some time ago, I could buy a couple of nice factory stickered watches full set with ok prices. Today they are all overpriced...

They have stopped buying most references including SS daytonas, Subs, BLNRs and Blue SkyD. Called them to ask why, they told me things are not moving and they have dozens and dozens of every reference I can imagine.

Blue Milgauss is $9150 from AD. Watchfinder asking $18k? Keep it.

Yes I see…. They make a discount from few hundred to 1700 maximum discount….
On Daytona they softening the price with 5%.
Truly speaking I make like them in this moment and don’t buy nothing till I see what’s happening….. it’s a safe strategy….
But, I think that we will buy again Daytona at MSRP from windows, we can go again in AP Boutique and they will make a discount for what piece we want and on Patek for sure that we will buy from windows almost every model…..
No, this is not reality this was in 2010!
To be realistic we need to see what happened from September….. but I’m not too optimistic
On the other hand flippers will take a break and maybe we can take the piece we want sooner.

It's even more alarming that they wouldn't offer an unfair price. They can't be undercapitalized (aren't they owned by Richmont or somebody)?

Why not offer like 10k to try to offset lost margin on one's they bought at 20k?

Yes, if things are still moving it's just a question of at what price to maintain turnover. No offer at any price means nothing is moving.

It remind me the 2008 interbanking market crisis with derivatives.

As soon as 1 bank (in this case a reseller) stop to buy a daytona then suddenly the music stop…

Why? They are one of Europe's largest (if not the largest) used watch dealer and sell just about all the swiss brands and offer a good, secure service.

The fact that Rolex pricing is bat shit crazy isn't their fault, they are owned by one of the largest Luxury groups in the world so while you're waiting for their demise you might want to take a seat.

The YT channel is very good and informative, I find it difficult how anyone could take exception to it.. people seem to be a bit bitter these days.

If you had too much stock would you continue to buy? No you wouldn't just like any business in the world.

Points well taken. Their information is good. They are also very good at hyping up their Rolex watches. I found their videos less about information and more about hype.

Watch finder isn’t that bad compared to other grey dealers. At least they don’t receive new stocks with stickers from *cough* direct from AD *cough* immediately after the release. Most of the watches from WF are used with stickers removed. Can’t blame them for the presence of flippers.

I’m not familiar with watchrapport, but is this legit? Pre-order at MSRP?

https://watchrapport.com/collections...que-pre-order/

** EDIT- After additional searching looks like scam

I have never bought anything from Watchfinder because I found their product to be overpriced even in this overpriced market.

But I really really like their YouTube channel. It is one of the best, if not THE best, watch YouTube channels out there in my opinion.

Sometimes I hope they drop the watch business and concentrate on watch talk.

Shady shady shady operation.

I don't think they actually have these watches in stock, and certainly not at the prices advertised. I believe in other posts, they have a habit of taking your money and waiting for a watch to come their way. Who knows how long that takes.

I think they have some small print about what they actually do....which is again, hold your money until the right deal comes their way.
