New Air King Vs Sub 41
How does the new AK Feel in terms of fit compared to the sub 41?
I have smaller wrist (6.5 inch) and the new ak seems really appealing to me with that 40mm case. Is it thinner than the new sub? I would love to hear thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My fitment with one link removed on the 6 o'clock side on each watch
To me the Sub 41 wears bigger although the dial on the King is obviously larger which can create the illusion of larger size - the bezel on the Sub is where the max width is - bezel on the King tapers in sharply to the crystal reducing bulk at the case edge - caseback on the Sub protrudes further making the watch sit higher on the wrist I'd say if your wrist is more flat than rounded the AK would fit OK and probably better suited for you than the Sub in terms of fitment The sub is comparatively chunky yet classic in appearance the King more svelte yet modern with the extremely high contrast dial and high legibility Marco |

Personally, I don't care for the dial on the AK. If it was me I would be looking at a 36mm DJ or OP.

36mm Exp wears small and is closer to 35mm in measurement 36mm DJ wears larger but I would describe it as a much smaller fitment than AK Marco |

Please excuse my English and all the fingerprints these are quick photos from a phone
Also camera exaggerates the contrast on AK dial compared to eye - photo below with DJ36 is maybe more fair one |

I think the OP stated 6.5" wrist, That was the bases for my suggestion. But ultimately he will be the one wearing it.

Nice photo! That blue stick DJ is my absolute favorite from Rolex. Just beautiful in every way. Represents the true essence of Rolex IMO.

DJ36 would fit quite well on 6.5" I think I would suggest Oyster bracelet with fluted bezel and blue or black dial for masculinity Or the new fluted dial with Oyster and smooth bezel But I am opinionated, apologise for this Marco |

OP wanted to compare Sub 41 and new AK so I try to help them as I have these ones I wait now if OP needs more info Marco |

Thank you for the comparison pics. I have a 39 mm Explorer and am intrigued by the new Air King. It looks great. Have a great day.

My wrist is about the same size as yours and without a doubt the 124060 is not as comfortable as many of what i have. The new GMT is more comfortable for some reason. I would have some fatigue if I wore a 41mm Sub all day every day...Yet it is super great..Just not so comfortable for me. The new Air-King which I did try on is more comfortable but very different watches of course.

I think youre find with either the sub or AK.
6.5 is not that small of a wrist. Don’t go and get a seadweller but a sub is fine |

Only difference seems the clasp, Glidelock on the Sub and Oysterlock on the AK (same as on GMT II, Explorer) Marco |

I find the AK to be supremely comfortable, I think the 21mm bracelet helps and also the fact it is not top heavy like the GMT or Sub (less of a problem as Sub also has 21mm versus 20mm GMT bracelet). My GMT is on Oyster. It seems some find the 21mm more comfortable and some find it less comfortable. Maybe it depends on bony protusions if that is the right word in English? Marco |
