Daytona vs Skydweller on Oysterflex

My AD is pushing me towards getting a skydweller on oysterflex rather than the daytona. They seem to think the skydweller will suit my 8" wrist better.

They say that oysterflex watches wear small, which i tend to agree with.

I may go with the skydweller if they can bundle 116500LN white dial as part of the deal.

Thoughts?

So:

- You want a PM Daytona on OF
- AD wants to sell you a PM Skydweller on OF
- You'll accept the watch you don't want, but only if they throw in the SS version of the watch you actually want?

Just tell them you want the OF Daytona man..

Well, with 8in wrist the SkyD is a good fit (I couldn't with 6.5in wrist; tried and failed). Daytona might seem small. They aren't misleading you. But if you really want the Daytona hold out.

If you are being pushed towards a watch you don't want, you'll probably end up with the one you actually want, it will just take longer and cost more.

I like both, skydweller really looks good on the wrist.
I'm thinking to downplay it so I can get SS daytona as well.

You’ve got a large wrist so the sky-dweller will probably look great on you.

I have a blue sky and a white Daytona
I wear my Daytona every day
The sky is beautiful. The Daytona could be my only watch

For what it’s worth, my wrist is 7”

Go for the one you want, not what they want to sell you. Just my .02

There’s a difference between pushing you towards something or suggesting that one might be a better fit.

Sounds to me like they are suggesting the SkyDweller better suits to your wrist and is more available than the Daytona.

I think they're right.

I wouldn't count on that bundle, though....

Yeah I was thinking the same but good luck with that

As to the watch and your wrist I'd agree with the A D. I have a 515 and 326935 which is not OF but even still, the Daytona is gonna be small on your wrist.

Especially if your wrists are what you say they are. Not to mention you are gonna probably need the longer/longest OF straps.

SkyD is the route I'd go.

If my wrist was bigger, I would love a Skydweller.

However if my first wish is a Daytona, I would stick to that, and maybe add a stainless Skydweller?

A SkyD and a steel Daytona as a bundle? I think this will never happen!

Agree with this. My 6.75” wrist couldn’t handle a SkyD as much as I wanted it. The Daytona was made for my wrist-so much so that I was fortunate to get both white and black from my AD…

Skydweller and Daytona wear much different from each other. SD is more of a classic somewhat dressy watch and the Daytona is pure sport watch to me. Size might matter in this case.

Heck you should bundle both SS Tonas as well as a GMT or two into the mix for buying the SkyD
