Two watch collection / Jubilee vs Oyster

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a Datejust 41 (blue / fluted bezel) with Jubilee bracelet. I have also GMT Batman with Oyster bracelet. I can't say how much do I love Jubilee bracelet. It looks awesome and it's absolutely comfortable. I'm thinking to change my Oyster bracelet on GMT with Jubilee.

My question is, as I have collection with two watches (for now) is it better to have one watch on Jubilee and one on Oyster to make the difference or it doesn't matter. What will you do?

Thanks

Its better to have what you suits you most and what you most prefer.

I have 4 Rolex between mine and my wife's, all on the Oyster. Its pretty much a no brainer as they suit our personality.

The only model I'd prefer the Jubilee is a DJ or Skydweller. In my opinion the professional models are best fitted with an Oyster bracelet.

It’s all preference, I have two that are jubilee and two that are oyster.

I'd leave it as is, you have a nice duo. Variance in dial color, bracelet, and occasion between the DJ and GMT. If anything, I'd consider getting a Rubber B (or similar) for the GMT.

Two watch collection / Jubilee vs Oyster

I have more than 2 watches, but as far as Rolex goes, I want one on an oyster and the other on a Jubilee. I also want a lot of contrast between the dials (dark dial vs light dial).

I would leave it as is, just save your money for the future model that you want to have.

It comes down to what you prefer.

I'm moving a Sky Dweller and a BLRO onto Jubilees because having bought my first Rolex on a Jubilee recently, it is so much more comfortable.

I rank wearing comfort above all else. Others will go for a balance of multiple features. You do you.

Thanks for your opinions guys!

As Benzsiam said, I think I will rather save money for the future model.
For now I have two different bracelets and this make sense for me. I still have time to change bracelet later if I will get more watches on Oyster.

I agree the jubilee is more comfortable, but that said in a two watch collection, I’d keep your current set up for variety

Get and wear what you like. Get the jubilee. You're not going to be wearing both watches at the same time are you?

Obviously its all personal preference. I like the oyster bracelet first, oysterflex a close second and then the jubilee.

Purchase the jubilee for your GMT outright from the AD (assuming you have the 126710BLNR), and keep the oyster. Then you have both options and can switch back and forth whenever you please.

Me, all Oyster. I don't have interest in Jubilees anymore. I don't feel that they are significantly more comfortable, not fond of the busy look, and feel that they are more prone to stretch wear.

I like a mix of both, but you only wear one watch at a time and got to wear what you love.

You got one of each, and perfectly suited too. DJ on jubilee, and Batman on oyster are the most suitable combos in my opinion.

Nice comparison of Oyster and Jubilee. Is the DJ a 41mm for size comparison purposes?

I found that I prefer the Jubilee over the Oyster. I didn't think I would, because my first Rolex is a 1966 Oysterdate with an Oyster bracelet. But once I got my DJ with the Jubilee, I definitely prefer that. I feel it looks better on me than the Oyster bracelet.

It's obviously a personal preference, and go with what you prefer.

Thanks! I added a Sub Date LN in July, but I’m lusting after the LV.

You seem to have an excellent relationship with your AD, it’ll come eventually!
