Obvious fake. Various errors; doesn't even hyphenate his name correctly.

I’m sympathetic to what is going on in Europe, and I see it being a hard winter for those especially in Germany. Cold winters without gas supply (or gas supplies at crazy high prices).
With that said, I don’t see any other commercial entity raising their hand to cut their usage. Companies are also being prioritized above residential energy needs. Fact of the matter is that watch demand is going down, Rolex is anticipating a recession, and they’re bracing for a situation like 2008. Most watch manufacturers had overstocked ADs that couldn’t sell through, and revenue from watch manufacturers plummeted, and overstocked ADs were forced to heavily discount to move anything. It’s smart on Rolexes part - better to throttle supply to match demand and hopefully keep supply below demand, maintaining exclusivity and market value of their watches. Real or not, I don’t see why they don’t slow down. |

Not sure I'm buying that 50% reduction (or if that letter is even genuine), but it certainly could be plausible in the entire country having to scale back in some form or fashion.
There seems to be genuine concern of an energy shortage in the winter from various articles on the net. Here's one for reference: https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/switzer...runch/47893144 |

It's not implausible. Switzerland gets all it's natural gas from Germany and Germany is up Schitz Creek without a paddle, which they'd probably burn for heat, if they had one.

Fake, and laughably bad. Glad the "Federal council" (???) Is so conscientious. Next time I'm in Switzerland I'll be sure to set my calendar to the American format of October 17, 2022 rather than 17 October. Oh and I'm sure they would take a political angle talking about Russia invading Ukraine.

Well today common sense is sadly lacking by many today and many of the newer younger Rolex owners there physical world is what ever so called social media or the likes of YouTube dictates,as many have lost the use of there brains to think for themselves. And rely on the like of YouTube and the likes and believe every thing they read or see there, then repeat it like parrots around the net.

So, this is what it’s based on. There is a Federal Council, and they have called for reductions. Still not believing the letter, but…

Desperate move by even more desperate flippers or grey market dealers sitting on tons of unsold paid for inventory.

Rolex represents so much for the country and cantons where the company is located that I doubt (not to mention the shape of the letter).
Although Rolex has the means to reduce working time to 50% while maintaining wages without flinching, it must sell as much as possible and deliver watches as long as there are customers. Europe is certainly in trouble but elsewhere, things are not going so badly and there is still cash everywhere.

Cutting production would be a Godsend for those who bought in high. Although not really doing it, the only thing the false proclamation does is attempt to keep afloat the sinking ship.

Fake news. The desperation to keep the hyped prices, seems to be reaching new hights.
Let´s stop producing 40.000 euro watches, so we can save lees than 1 euro heat for each watch. OK Should we cut the temperature bye 3 degrees all over and save half the gas? No let´s just close half the factory, and keep the temperrature in the last part, it will only cost us a few billions euro. Ok great idea.. |

And I may be waaaaay off here but all Rolex needs is to still have shipping in place being I'm sure they have ample supply of watches just sitting. Unless people believe that Rolex BS of "it takes one year to make one Rolex" I honestly heard a SA telling that to a female customer when I was picking up another Sub last month. The thoughts that rolled through my mind

Total fake. I speak french and there's a typo in "mailleures salutations", it should be "meilleures salutations". This is a super obvious and blatant mistake that no one who speaks french would do.

Fake letter, not even a good one. A pathetic attempt to revive the now dying hype around Rolex. What a joke.
