Icon3 If you ever wanted to know who makes/finishes Tudor movements

Kenissi SA is a subsidiary of Tudor. Supplying Tudor, Chanel and Breitling among others.

https://www.kenissi.ch/Craftsmanship

Cases, dials and bracelets are also generally made by outside suppliers.

Right, Kenissi is currently owned 80% by Tudor and 20% by Chanel and supplies Tudor, Chanel, Breitling, Norquain, Fortis, TAG Heuer, Bell & Ross. Will be interesting to see who else jumps on the Kenissi train, or is asked to join the club.

Tudor SA has never manufactured any watch component, but chooses good third party suppliers.

Shouldn't be a surprise because it's the exact same modus operandi as Rolex, buy out your suppliers and call them your own.

If that’s the case, how do they classify movements as in house?

Below from the Kenissi website

In 2010 the TUDOR watch brand launched an ambitious project to develop its industrial production capacity for mechanical movements. To this end, the brand brought together a group of experts and presented an initial calibre manufactured by TUDOR at Baselworld in 2015, in variations to equip two different watches.

The following year the Genevan watch brand created the Kenissi company to oversee the development and production of its movements and, in parallel, offer its technical expertise in the field of movements to third-party brands. The first industrial partnership was then forged with Breitling.

If I recall, ETA will still sell movements outside, but only stock, fully assembled movements.

TAG surprised me, as it’s part of a large conglomerated unlike any of the others listed.

However it’s a smart move, I suppose. Perhaps Tudor sees some of these brands as more likely to whittle away at &IWC, Omega, and Longines sales in a way it will benefit from (without it or Rolex losing any market share).

Another thing to consider is that Tudor takes your movement and replaces it with a refurbished movement at service time. Baz has mentioned that they don’t even provide RSC with service manuals, because they don’t work on them.
