Explorer two tone

Was offered one from my AD this evening. It’s on my future list just not sure how I feel about YG. Thinking I’ll probably pass but I’m Gna sleep on it.

I wasn't a fan of it when it first came out. However, it's growing on me.

Exactly, I’m 60/40 (no/yes). I just hate to buy it and decide it’s not for me.

If you're at 60/40, it's not even close. Hard pass, IMO. For that kind of money, it has to be love or nothing. With those numbers, it will just collect dust in your watch box.

I like them. One of the more interesting watches in the current lineup. Don't buy it unless you love it, though.

The steel Explorer is great. The two-tone Explorer is sensational.

I'm the same way. I have been thinking about picking up the explorer...but I keep thinking about the 2 tone. I haven't seen one in person yet though...hope to in the near future.

I can’t say I’m a fan of the TT, but I haven’t actually held one or tried it on, but you have to really, really like any watch to spend that kind of money.

My wife love’s hers. It’s a beautiful dial. I love looking at it and wished it came in a 39-40

This is one that grows on me. This is also one of the few modern Rolexes I think would look sensational on a strap. And, as an aside, wish the dial/handset was available on the all steel model, like the OP silver dial.

One of these was available at my AD when I visited a week ago. First time I had ever seen one in person. I wasn't too excited about this piece in photos, and I was even less excited about it in person. Hard pass for me. I love the full SS version much more.

Never hurts to sleep on it if you’re not 100% certain.

IMHO, and it’s just me … if I don’t love a watch on the spot, I probably never will

Good luck with your decision

I don't think of it as yellow gold; it's a two tone. I like it!!

I like it and you can get it from your AD. Buy it and give it some wrist time and see if it works for you. If not, move it along and get something else. I sometimes find once I own a watch it is better than I thought.

This is one of the most understated watches. It wears very well, and it is a beauty in person.

I ended up buying it for my wife because she likes it even more than me. Unfortunately we cannot share it because her wrist is too small :)

On the wrist, this watch really pops for me. Subtle and dresses up a SS Explorer that, otherwise, looks a bit like an OP36. I like the SS Explorer just fine, but prefer this one.

I have the steel version and was thinking that my wife or daughter might dig the two tone. (but not at all insinuating that it's a woman's watch).

If you're 60/40 you already know the answer.
If cases were even half full of sports models, you wouldn't even look twice at that watch.

When Rolex introduced the six digit Everose TT DJ 116201 I was obsessing over one, and the cases were more than half full of SS sports models.
