Daytona White or Black

There are rumors in some countries especially asia that the black face of daytona is more expensive than the white face....

Please share your choice of color face for a daytona and tell us where you from....

1. White Face - Philippines

Same price for both but the white dial seems harder to find new and pre-owned.

This sounds crazy, but I swear the one that you THINK sells for more is the one you don't have. There was a poll on TZ and it was literally half and half for who preferred white to black. You will have no problems selling an SS daytona at the market price, that is for sure!

I prefer the white dial but the black is perceived to be more rare in Singapore and so commands a slight premium (roughly the cost of a dial replacement).

i prefer the white. just picked one up a few weeks ago. i'd like to have the black also but between the two i like the white. they both seem to be going for $9925 here in the states and are becoming more "available" in AD's.

My "M" series came with the white dial but Tasos aka Tempoking got me a black dial with extra hands that gets changed every few months by a watch tech friend of mine.

The tech was sending back a "Z" series black dial and by some freak occurence it was my dial that went back and I ended up with a newer one, just hate when that happens.

Me too, but I love the black bezel on the vintage ones. Just don't care for the shiny bezel. The painted bezel sets off the face, white or black.

For HK and China white can mean working hard and not making money. Also the color of mourning. That's why black is prefered. Superstitions determine color preferences there. I'm chinese, born in U.S. and if I'm on the fence with color I will lean toward the superstition.

Black dial! I've owned both and actually sold the white dial so I could buy the black. To me, the black dial just looks so much better.
