My Black Bay 54 theory

I predicted Rolex might possibly release a 36mm Submariner for the ladies or guys with smaller wrists.

I think Rolex are possibly testing the water with the 37mm BB54 release.

Either way, this is going to be a big winner for Tudor/Rolex.

For Rolex/Tudor, the BB54 and new BB36 (gilt dial version) were far and away my favorites this year.

I just wish they would add dates already….that’s the only thing keeping me from buying.

Cool watch, not for me with 7.5-7.75 inch wrists. But then everything does not have to work for me to appreciate it.

BB58 looks great on my wife’s child sized wrists and has way more character. Not a fan of this release or any from 2023 Tudor line up. I’ll give them a pass as they have been cranking out winners for several years now.

I would like date also. I have the 114060 and barely wear it, because every other watch I own has a date complication.

We don't have small wrists lol.....its just we don't have fat boy wrists! Looks too much like those cheapy Smiths Commanders to me from Time Factors.

I have smallish wrists and the 58 fits fine. However the updated clasp and especially the rubber strap are game changers.

Think I could order that new Tudor Hybrid strap for my current BB58?

Do they even have the same lug width? I highly doubt that.

Both are noted as 20mm width. Might be an issue with the contour matching because lug-to-lug is different.

The more I think about this, the more I wonder how technically feasible it would be to do a 36-37mm Sub that maintains 300m WR w/o being too thick and also fits a longer PR movement (given that this is an "icon" watch).

More likely, I would expect to see a YM37 in the new RLX configuration.

A 39 mm sub and an YM37 mm RLX would be awsome!
