Use the sundial that you dragged to the beach LOL

If you’re diving, you’ll want your dive watch. If you are racing, you will enjoy a regatta timer.

Or just enjoy the watch that you bought. If I’m lying on the beach, I can still enjoy the watch even if not for telling time. I just like the way that it feels and looks. Sand and sweater has NEVER adversely affected any of my watches

Whoever claimed that their friends destroyed watches just by going to the beach must have left out the part about them smashing their watches on the rocks repeatedly or scouring the, with oyster shells. Even that might not hurt a Rolex much.

I need a watch at the beach, but I stick to affordable divers, so I don't mind the scratches. I snorkel, build sandcastles, let my kids bury me in the sand, I play football (soccer), freesbee, etc. To be honest, I haven't noticed an awful lot of damage. So why not use the DJ if that's what you like, OP? My only worry would be to lose the watch, not so much to damage it.

I find a watch useful at the beach when you've got kids (suncream, lunch, time management in general).
