Presidential Submariner

Anyone have an 11 series gold sub and DD40 to try a president bracelet on a modern gold sub? Could be awesome.

FWIW, these 1970-1980 subs with president bracelets are thought to be an OEM part to the watch upon special order in Mexico, not aftermarket replacement with a DD bracelet.

Makes sense, since the GMT was known to be available with a President around that time and even appeared in some Rolex catalogues configured as such.

Yup. Many forget or never knew a Rolex was a pleasure to tailor right at the AD and they were your guide with the factory. Bracelet swaps, special requests etc.

Today it’s like ordering some spaghetti with marinara sauce and you get egg noodles and ketchup. - like an average nobody. You get to live the rest of your life like a schnook.
