Black dial - V serial

White dial - M serial

I think he said they were both $9900.... in the showcase, ready to go. I'll email ya the details if you are interested..

Don't you need a white dial Daytona to go with your black dial one?

To be fair, Rolex didn’t release the the ceramic SS Daytona until 2016.

Not clear if it was just the time period (2016 was when watch craze really started to take off) or it was the ceramic bezel that started the endless Daytona demand. Maybe both.

Well that was 2009, and even then a Daytona usually had a wait, hence the original post back in the day.

Even the Zenith Daytona was hard to get in the late 90's. I vividly remember walking into my current AD for the very first time back around '09 and being offered a Daytona out of the vault as soon as I said I was interested in Rolexes. Every slot in every case was full. Too bad I was broke then.

2009 feels sooo long ago, I remember hearing about the unobtainable SS Daytona back in 2000 or so and it was still at round $8-9k if I recall correctly. I think the black dial was the more difficult one to get too at the time.

Most watches were sitting in cases until 2015ish with the exception of Pepsi and Daytonas.

I remember 2015 China, AD offering me discount on Hulk because he said "noone want green one." Black populah!!

Ofcourse I didn't have the wisdom to buyout his shelf on my LOC.

Oh, I figured it was a new thread but that they were used. And the “2” on your keyboard was broken.

Daytonas have been tough to get from ADs since the late '80s when the first automatic Zenith version was released. I remember wanting one in college, but even back then ADs had waiting lists and sometimes charged premiums.
