Serious OCD question - hour hand off
After one happy month with my gorgeous 226570, I noticed that hour hand is not properly aligned with minute hand (see photo - I tried my best to show it). Hour hand hits the mark with 5 minutes delay. From rational point of view, I'm not particularly annoyed with that and certainly don't want my watch to be opened. From another angle, I wouldn't expect such "quality" from Rolex, so I'm actually a bit annoyed
My question is: 1. If I wait, let's say, 4 years, can I turn in the AD or RSC and ask to fix it under warranty (and check the movement etc.)? 2. Did any of you noble sirs faced such underwhelming assembly quality before? 3. Where are Rolex RSCs in Europe (except Geneve)? |

My cousins dd is like this, he is not letting anyone open it up as it will just come back with new scratches.

Indeed, don’t let it open if not absolutly necessary. Mine needed to be opened to fix the amplitude sickness of the 32xx movements and now i have a spec of dust under the crystal.

Whenever 'OCD' is in a title, I'm expecting to see some pathetic nonsense. Its a damn shame that this got through quality control on such a high end watch brand.

Being concerned about an actual problem is not OCD much less serious OCD, it is simply normal behavior. And being able to wait four years to get it fixed definitely isn’t OCD either. You sound fine.

GMT mechanisms have more gear play and issues like this are more likely to happen, easy fix though.
I wouldn't wait 4 years and just get it done right away. |

I had a Milgauss with this issue and it drove me nuts. I don’t think you’re being OCD in this case. I’d try to get it fixed at the AD or RSC.

Wow, didn't expect that majority will advice to go and fix... What about possible scratches etc? I'm also considering this situation more as a ticket for free service, and assume that once the watch hits RSC, they will check and service movement as well, am I right?
Another question regarding RCS - ones which are visible on the website, are ADs actually, but are there real RSCs belonging to Rolex like in the US? |

Get the hour marker fixed. It would certainly bother me.
I understand the concern about potential damage occurring while under the knife, but that’s up to you to decide. I’m the same way, if the potential for damage is too significant I won’t bother, but for things like this, I would take the chance because that misaligned hour marker would bother me more. |

No way I’d let that slide and looks like I trust RSC more than some.

Yes, and should not have gotten past factory QA.

My 2022 OP41 is about 2-3 minutes misaligned. Whatever QC Rolex has in place for the alignment of the hands is clearly not sufficient.

This would bother me - likely even more than if the watch was running a bit fast/slow. I agree with those here saying get it fixed.
RSC is unlikely to do any cosmetic damage (aka hairlines, etc) that wouldn't otherwise occur with normal wear over time. |

Annoying for sure, have certainly seen it to varying degrees on enough watches that it's now a part of my pre-purchase checkover of a watch. Of course, with the current state of the Rolex market it's not like you can just ask to see another one, so....
