I miss my watch

Sent my Cartier in for service in February, just checked in with my AD today and they were told August for completion

6 months away it’ll be like getting a new watch all over again when it finally does come back lol

Sorry to hear it'll be 6(!) months. Hope Cartier gets it down to a reasonable 2 to 3 months soon.

I can see why you’d miss that one Wayne. Shame it’s going to take so long.

Luckily you’ve got plenty of options to tide you over

That’s got to hurt customer sat as well as their service revenue since it throttles booking the stream.

A little confused about something noted on your dial - I’m not as familiar with Cartier.

What does “L SWISS MADE L” mean?

I think it refers to the super luminova on the dial Paul.

I'm a Flames fan so can't bring myself to cheer for the Oilers

The Leafs have been fun to watch but they have a big hill to climb to win the next 3

I know the feeling. I dropped one of my watches off with them at the end of January. I spoke to my SA 2 weeks ago. She said they don't have an actual estimated time for mine, as the movement is rather specialized, they don't have all the parts, and they have to make some part/s. Normally, when I've brought watches there, the turn around time has been very fast. Last year they completed a service on an automatic Tank Francaise in 5 weeks.

The movement on the watch they are currently servicing.

The watch.

That's a tough waiting period, Wayne. I've done it before under different circumstances and can't describe the feeling of finally getting the watch back. Can definitely see why you appreciate that piece so much. Here's to it being back on your wrist ASAP.

Six months is the norm for so many companies these days. If you own a watch 30 years and service it every 5 years, the company has it for 3 years. Hopefully, that number will not reach 5 years anytime soon.

Thank you! It was part of a limited run of watches they made from 2006 to about 2008. They made 200 in rose gold and 50 in platinum.

I was unhappy waiting four weeks to pickup my AP from an overhaul. Six months sounds unbearable

4 weeks is nothing! Years ago, my dad waited 8 months for his AP RO to come back from an overhaul, and nearly a year for his Nautilus.

Beautiful watch but six months? They should offer you a loaner. Hope it’s faster

Got it back today

Had the AD engrave the clasp with my 2nd daughter’s initial, turned out great! (No room on the caseback)

My first daughter got hers engraved on my OP39 so no one is left out lol
