Watch Travel Case
Anyone have a recommendation for a case to use when traveling with a watch? Looking for something with a hard shell that is of course safe and secure. Eyeing this one...

Are they "crush proof"? How's the exterior shell?

Not a bad option, OP. Like you (I think), functionality is my main driver in regards to these travel accessories. I've used a semi-hard watchpod for years and it has served me well. Not crush proof, but I haven't been easy on it.

I miss the Oakley cases. Have a few of the Case Bud's,inexpensive but work well!

What kind of potential damage will it be facing. The one you picked out seems a little heavy duty for basic traveling.

Another +1 for the Bosphorus. They're very well made and mine has stood the test of time over the last 2/3 years, but as above - it's not hardshell so might not be suitable for what you're after. Mines now full, so looking to add another, or one from Carapaz. I like the fact the Carapaz allows you to 'display' watches as well as securely store them.
For traveling, I use an Omega service case - these are similar to a sunglasses case so provide some resistance to being crushed. My Speedmaster also came with a removable case from the original box which would serve well. |

For travel in luggage, you could just roll it up in a sock.
