If you're talking about the glide lock, there are several hurdles on that path. I know b/c I've asked.

Most importantly, will/can the AD order it for you. My sources say no, as they have to have a SN (which of course must be the new 126 reference.)

Then there's the price. It's 8k USD. Ouch.

Finally, there's fitment. Does the clasp even fit on the old straps? I've asked that question here and it seems it does, but if I was spending 8k I'd want a more definitive answer.

OP: Congrats on a great watch!

You’ve done your research my friend

Are the end link different? I wonder if you could buy the whole kit and kaboodle? I guess even if you could … there’s the price

Plenty of aftermarket steel glidelock available... just a note.

I asked one of our members if the straps were the same on both the old and new reference, and he said they were. So, if that's true, then theoretically all you'd need would be the clasp and the straps, if you needed different sizes, of course.

But then there's not only the price, but if you could get someone to order it. According to my AD, Rolex has really cracked down on ordering parts. So it looks like no bueno, sadly.

Or one could just buy the new model.
