I'd pick the black face TT Sub. I don't travel much across timezones, so the GMT is not really more useful for me than the Sub. And if you ask me, the Sub is more iconic than the GMT, and also it has the ingenious GlideLock that I would be happily using on hot summer days when my wrist swells up...

Marcus, I'd go for the GMT. The fourth hand is a great feature, together with the 24hr rotatable bezel. The TT GMT is a great looking watch.
Of course, if you intend to go diving, that's another matter . . . Regards,

I'd go with the Sub. The numbers around the dial don't look over large and you get 120 click bezel, but they are both lookers.

With 100m advertised and a realistic 300m achievable, the GMT would be fine to the advertised recreational diving limits of 40 Metres. Beyond that into technical diving and you'd be best using specialist gear. Especially as passing 100 metres you're looking at Tri-mix and at the limit of technical diving. |

Most Rolex owners, whether GMT or Sub, are probably unlikely to overstretch either watches' waterproof capabilities. However, I guess the fact that the Sub has the unidirectional bezel will have an advantage over the GMT. Regards,

If you're considering the new style TT black sub, I'd go that route! It looks amazing!

I just went through the same thing so I feel your Pain!!
This is what I suggest (BTW. This is the only way to decide because they are Both such Great Rolex's) Go to a Local Rolex Dealer and Try on Both Watches and see what you like. I just went to my local AD and tried on the SS GMT, which I liked and then I tried on the TT Blue Sub which was in a tie with the SS GMT and then the salesman went to the showcase window and pulled out the TT GMT and as soon as I put it on my wrist the question was very clear. I fell in love with the TT GMT and I cant see myself with any other Rolex. However they are all great watches, each one is diffrent and it is best to get the one you will love for time to come. BTW Im buying my TT GMT on monday from DavidSW on here!! I CANT WAIT!! |

GMT
I like the green hand, and one of the major reasons is I prefer the look of the GMT bezel to the Sub bezel. But I don't think you could go wrong with either. |
