Gmt 1675
Looking to buy a 1675.
Does this dial look correct? They say it's a 273 xxxx serial #. What would be a fair price? Please advise. |

That looks like a luminova (original Rolex) replacement dial. Nothing wrong with that really
Also the white background date wheel would be a replacement too. If you ask me the watch looks awesome, although from a purely collectors point of view the originality of the watch with a tritium dial is not so good. You can always look around for a tritium dial. The case looks like it is in great condition. It would be a great day to day watch. I really like the bezel insert, now that is IMHO original with the thick fonts. I would say the price might be $4-5K

Based on my recent sale of an RSC serviced 1675 with the same Rolex-replacement Luminova dial, I'd say the value (here) is closer to $3000 - $3500. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=88098

As Steve said the watch looks to be in remarkable condition..nice case and lugs. The dial is a luminova replacement. It's always the question of originality vs. functionality.
One of my 1675s has a service replacement dial. As a collector tritium rules. As a user the service replacement dials offer a great daily wear if luminosity is a factor. |

Really nice piece but because of the dial and bezel no more than $3200

Did they disclose that the dial is a replacement?
If not, what else are they "holding back"?
Skip it ... go elsewhere.
