Dropped By My AD The Other Day........

I like to go in and admire what they have...

There were Subs...even that Green one, Daytonas of all types, but no SS. The new DD II's were there. It's hard to tell the difference any more unless you focus on the larger bezel..

In any event, Mrs Tools was just there to get some stuff cleaned... (They do that for free !!)

Our nice Sales Lady said....... "Hold on...I have something for Larry in the back.." I immediately got "The Look", like I had bought another watch... I said, I don't have any idea what she is talking about..

She came out with a nice package...wrapped in plain brown paper and said, "The manager wanted to make sure you got this."

It is a nicely framed picture of the 4130 movement..... I don't know why, or even who, thought this up.... but here it is...

Hey, I was even wearing the Daytona that day.....

Larry: WOW!! What a great gift. Taking the Mrs. into the AD, that can be risky!!

I was recently invited to a Breitling/AD event that they are holding all over the country for thier new model and Breilting's markerting folks purposely left out the Mrs. from the invites because they will get more orders if they get the guys alone. Sad, but true.

That's really a neat thing.

My AD/Jeweler is like that. They do appraisals, clean jewelry and simple stuff for free. They are really into service. They also gave me a discount when I bought my Rolex.

I could have gotten a better price on line, but I live in a small town and its really important to deal with local people.

That is great that you still have some AD's out there that still remember customer service and how to build a relationship. My wife would still be rolling her eyes at a nicely framed picture of a watch movement.

Nice, first one I've ever seen. Wonder if it's a Rolex product or just a great picture from an independent source.

Larry, how is it labeled.

No labeling or marking of any kind..except, of course, for the Daytona on the movement......
