Good ol' stainless steel for me as well. Originally had a gold band but while shopping in South Beach years ago my wife suggested I get another wedding band. I said what's wrong with the one I already have? She said it will match your watches. And that was that.

I love this comment, especially to a bunch of people on a Rolex forum. No disrespect, just ironic.

Also, be careful with tungsten and titanium as they are much harder to cut off if the situation arises.

That’s a bummer. A friend of mine kept losing his wedding band and finally ended up getting a tattoo … you gotta be sure though

This.
Traditionally the wedding rings are gifts to each other from the bride and groom. My ring is engraved inside with my wife's (maiden) initials "to" my initials, and the wedding date.

I think BeBeers did, and it was something like 3 months salary, 6 if you’re poor!

This is the move. I'm not a metallurgist, but I can't justify paying a markup just so it can come in a robin's egg blue box. It's a wedding band, I'd go to a local jeweler & see what kind of price you could get. In my experience, there is a surprising amount of negotiating room on plain wedding bands.
