I rotate all my watches, includng TT and PM. I don't like wearing the same watch every day. I used to a long time ago, not anymore. The metal doesn't really matter, aside from the fact I'm more cautious with gold. It's more a question of appreciating variety.

Each to their own, I wear my Daytona OF Monday-Friday at work, it’s one of the comfiest watches I own. A lot more comfortable for me then my full PM bracelets which feel heavy

Yeah I get that. However, I will say the OF makes more sense for general travel and recreation than the full gold bracelet.

I’m opposite. I prefer my Deepsea or a PM piece because I like the heft.

A few more thoughts to share:
- I love PM, and the OF does make the watch very manageable and comfortable. It still is more heavy than SS though. - when I talked about the heft, I also referred to the figurative heft in value. Since I was traveling, and I only had one watch with me, it was my only option. It was so different than being at home, where I could just change the piece to what fits the occasion. Specifically, when I went to the gym, I didn’t want to wear my gold piece. I don’t baby my watches… but it just seems a bit stupid to be wearing a $40k ($100k on the secondary…) piece when throwing around weights. Hanging out at the pool, I’m also a bit more conscience not to be rubbing my watch against the pool deck. Similarly, I like to go to some run of the mill places when on vacation. It definitely felt a bit out of place to wear such an expensive piece ALL the time. At home it’d be easy enough just to swap watches. It was nice getting the explorer back on the wrist. I love this piece, but at the same time I don’t care if I run into walls with it, scratch it against concrete, or drop weights on it. It doesn’t draw a lot of attention. Also small and light enough to be super comfortable all the time. |

I get it, it’s an expensive watch. It’s not about the weight.

But don't both current models weigh 160 grams?

PM does not include a rubber band in my opinion.
