I think it has 2-3 years written all over it for me. That is an eternity in my book. I have been almost exclusively wearing a ti ym these last 4 months and could see myself rotating between the two for a bit. We have a newborn in the house and I'm often up in the middle of the night. I need to be able to check the time without blinding myself on the iPhone and it must be spit up proof lol Bonus...I just ordered my (not the newborn) son the swatch version in his fav color for xmas so he's going to lose it. What I once perceived to be a negative is now a positive.

Any more pics from the group with the 42.
Considering one of these, but almost concerned it’s too small. I have a 42 superocean that actually wears almost too small somehow, much smaller feeling than my Batman. I assume the 45 wears too big though. Hope to try all on in Vegas in January (and bathyscaphe). |

The finishing on this line is incredibly good for the money. If you look at the anglage VS something like Patek, it's actually cleaner/less chatter marks. |

I’d say this wears compact like a Rolex GMT on a strap but it’s 2mm thicker. Being titanium that penalty isn’t felt as much as it would be with steel. 47mm lug to lug on this and I think 48 on a 126710. If this size doesn’t work for you the 45 will which is closer to seadweller will. Both are about 50 lug to lug. Subtract 2mm from any fifty fathoms to get an equal footing with a Rolex counterpart in terms of lug to lug size.

You said it not me! It’s true though. It’s favorable to patek and AP entry level watches finishing wise. When you consider I paid submariner money that says a lot.

I think the best part is that my son loves anything bright green and I was able to buy him this for Xmas.

45 just sounds huge… but as someone else said I think the thick bezel will help make it looks ok. I have the 44.5 top gun chrono which has huge lug to lug, depth and large looking dial so assume it would appear quite a bit smaller than this. |

If you’re comfortable with the 44.5 top gun chrono I’m pretty confident you’ll be happy with the 45. Try it on and like you said, if it fits the deals are every reasonable second hand.

I grabbed a swatch/Blancpain ocean of storms version for the gym and my son in college asked to wear it. Of course this is one you don’t worry about when your 20 year old wants to wear. But he absolutely loves it. So I also grabbed one for him for Christmas.
How long will I have the 5010’s? Ive learned in this crazy hobby that I shouldn’t answer that question. Right now it’s a darn near perfect watch and I love it. As for size, yes it wears smaller than 42.3. However it’s not too small and the longer I have it the larger it seems. I think the height of the wrist combined with larger bezel creates the ideal size. I’ve worn the DSSD as well as the Pam 979 which is a monster. I sold the 116600 because it felt too small. Also sold the 126600 sea dweller because it felt heavy and unbalanced teetering on that focused caseback point. But this one feels perfect. Right in the middle of all of those. |

Any experience with ROO to compare the 2? Allegedly the 2 “haute horology” divers (term makes me feel super pretensous). I’ve long wanted the ROO but Blancpain a cool option. Or could just go basic and get an LV sub lol. |

Love this watch it was a fantastic release by them I really hope it ends up a long term hit for the brand because it deserves it. Haven't been able to try one on yet but imagine once I do there's a good chance it will come home with me.
